Bethesda, MD – The National Center for Children and Families (NCCF) will hold its 7th Annual Art & Soul Charity Auction at The Music Center at Strathmore on Friday, June 12, 2009, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Proceeds from the event will benefit the construction of the Freddie Mac Foundation Youth Activities Center (YAC), NCCF’s sole cultural arts and recreational facility on the center’s Bethesda campus.
Hosted by JC Hayward of WUSA-TV Channel 9, the auction will feature works by youth from the Greentree Adolescent Program (GAP) at NCCF and by prominent local artists like Kari Minnick and Ellen Sinel. A silent auction will feature “Gifts from the Soul” (non-art items) and juried pieces from other regional artists.

Honorary Co-Chairs Catherine Leggett, Constance Morella, and NCCF Board of Trustees will be on hand to present the agency’s Annual Spirit of Humanitarian Awards to:
