  47 Adolescents Served Last Year

The Greentree School, founded 1993, is an approved Type III Education day school for newly placed Greentree Adolescent Program (GAP) residents in transition to new public school placements. The purpose of the Greentree School is to provide a transitional instructional program to youth in out of home care as they await transition to public or private schools in the community.  Our students require a therapeutic academic setting due to the following: chronic disruption in educational placement, school anxiety and behavior adjustment issues, and missing educational documentation. Youth receive comprehensive educational support and guidance from an educational specialist, a professional, certified teacher and a teacher’s assistant.  Students are helped to adjust to a mainstream school or prepared to achieve a high school equivalency diploma.
